Historical Highlights
- 1986 We established Friendly Neighbors, our volunteer-based program that helps seniors to maintain relative independence for as long as possible.
- 1987 Care-A-Van, our mobile homeless outreach program, began making regularly scheduled stops to serve the homeless, and canvassing the island, looking for people in need.
- 1989 We returned to our "roots" by helping a new generation of troubled youth through our Youth Outreach Project (YO).
- 1998 We started providing AIDS prevention education to those at risk of HIV infection. We also established our Ho`ola Like program, integrating Western medicine and Hawaiian healing, primarily to serve patients of Native Hawaiian ancestry on the North Shore.
- 2003 Our Native Hawaiian Healing Program was extended to our Main Clinic in Waikiki.
