Health
Center, a private non-profit federally qualified community health center, provides medical and social services to people from all walks of life, representing a broad range of economic levels, cultural backgrounds, and medical needs.
We place special emphasis on serving at-risk, hard to reach populations, such as: Waikiki’s runaway, abandoned, and homeless youth; older seniors who are “aging in place”; disadvantaged children who need immunizations and physical exams to enroll in school; the “working poor,” who hold several jobs but still lack insurance; the underinsured, who are not covered for the medical services they need; homeless individuals and families; and people with HIV.
The majority of the Center’s patients are living at or below federal poverty level, are uninsured or underinsured, and come to us for “safety net” medical care and social services.

Beyond Waikiki … Our Hale`iwa satellite clinic sees many clients who would otherwise not get treatment, including many Native Hawaiians; we regularly hold community health fairs serving Windward communities; and our Care-A-Van Homeless Outreach Program utilizes medically equipped vans to bring medical and social services to the homeless across Oahu.
