The Medical Assistant/Outreach Worker will support clinic operations at our healthcare for the homeless Care-A-Van drop-in center 3 days per week, and at our North Shore clinic 2 days per week (transportation from Honolulu provided).  The work schedule is flexible and may require some Saturdays.
 
Under the direction of medical providers, the MA assists in providing services, including patient intakes, vital signs, patient education, and counseling.
 
The duties of this position require the handling and management of confidential health information.  Consequently, a primary responsibility of this position is to safeguard, protect and maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all consumer health information.

Good computer skills are required.

Successful completion of a medical assistant program and certification is required.

Experience with mental illness, substance use, and homeless issues is preferred.
