Healthcare for the Homeless

Waikiki Health Center provides comprehensive medical and social services for everyone experiencing or at risk for homelessness.

Care-A-Van offers services at the drop-in center in Kaimuki and throughout Oahu as part of Care-A-Van's Outreach. Youth Outreach (YO) offers services for homeless youths at the drop-in center in Waikiki and through street outreach.

Healthcare for the Homeless services include:

Preventive care, physical exams and immunizations
Health education and counseling
Behavioral health services
Chronic disease management
Food, clothing and hygiene distribution
Mail and message services
Job and shelter assistance

Substance abuse counseling

Referrals for substance abuse treatment and other programs

Children's Medical Care

Family Planning

HIV Early Intervention

Tobacco Cessation Treatment

Housing Placement Assistance (HPRP)
Care-A-Van Outreach

Healthcare for the Homeless services are available at these locations:

		Kaimuki – Care-A-Van Drop-in Center & Clinic
		Waikiki – Youth Outreach (YO) Drop-in Center & Teen Clinic

Did you know...

Care-A-Van has provided social services five nights a week to the families and individuals staying at the Next Step Shelter in Kaka'ako since it opened in 2006.

A CARF Three-Year Accreditation was awarded to Waikiki Health Center's Care-A-Van Program for the Prevention/Diversion: Integrated Alcohol and Other Drugs/Mental Health (Adults) Program.
