The Friendly Neighbors program offers basic assistance and companionship to senior adults, 60 years or older, who live in Waikiki. The free, individualized services are provided by volunteers and help seniors in need continue living independently at home.
 The program fosters relationship that benefit volunteers as well. Caring community members can support our kupuna, and nursing and social work students can gain experience outside the classroom.
Friendly Neighbors services include:
- Friendly visits
- Phone call reassurance
- Reading mail
- Light housework
- Meal preparation
- Exercise and activities
- Help with shopping and errands
- Escorting clients to medical visits
- Respite services for caregivers
- Referrals to additional services
